Report by Dr. Laxman Shrestha 28 July, 2006 Cleaning is essential for human being for day-to-day activities for our life. It protects individuals with his/her family and the group from diseases that harm due to lack of cleanliness. Personal Cleaning: It refers to take care by individual for his/her life through cleaning activities. (i) Daily tooth brushing. (ii) Nail Cutting. (iii) Walking with shoes/ sleepers. (iv) Having bath daily. (v) Hair cutting. (vi) Washing hands with soap. (vii) Drinking boiled water. (viii) Taking food on proper time (different intervals.) Family Cleaning: It refers to perform cleaning activities by individuals for himself/ herself and for his/her family members. Family members are father, mother, son, daughter etc. Generally following are some major instruction of family cleaning activities to be performed by individual with his family members together. (i) To think regarding how to make family to live in sound health, how to live together with clean and to take care of healthy food. (ii) To make follow certain instruction for having hygienic and healthy food like soya bean, egg, green vegetables, fruits etc. (iii) To make family members brush the teeth twice a day. (iv) To make sure cleaning toilet after use. (v) To make home and it's surrounding clean. (vi) To make sure to drink boiled water only. (vii) To spray anit insect drugs to protect from harmful insects. Social Cleaning: This refers to cleaning activities in a group for society as a whole. Society includes village or community to individual where he/she is living. Social Cleaning activities includes following some major instruction. (i) To make sure about cleanliness of public toilet. (ii) To spray anti-insect drugs in the village. (iii) To make use of medicine to get rid of insects bite. (iv) To dispose garbage on proper place. (v) To spray insecticides to toilets and its surroundings. (vi) To make aware and knowledge regarding healthy and hygienic foods. (vii) To make aware about common infected diseases that may be transferred easily.
